Using this method is it possible to give a player a weapon they havent unlocked?

As far as I know this system is exclusive to TF2 as part of the item drop system.

ok, I just wondering if there is posibillity to spawn weapon using indexes in L4D2.

Code:
EquipPlayerWeapon

          Syntax: native EquipPlayerWeapon(client, weapon); 

Usage:  client        Client index.
 item            CBaseCombatWeapon entity index.Notes: Equip's a player's weapon.

The list I gave in the first post are item definition indexes. These are not the same as entity indexes. For EquipPlayerWeapon you first need to call GiveNamedItem and get the entity index from that.

Probably because Valve are trying to organize things and have them seperate from the actual items, and who knows what sort of systems they will put in place (custom weapons with dynamically produced attributes could well become a possibility as a result of the crafting system)

I've gone ahead and added this list to the wiki:

This way the entire list is all together and anyone can add to it as Valve add more items.
