I myself never liked Windows 7. Been using XP for years, and after it went unsupported I switched to Linux. Just recently started dual-booting Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu Gnome. I would've already updated to Windows 10 if NVidia released new drivers for my graphics card. Windows installation says my card is not compatible.

windows 7 is not that much different compared to XP.

I too think XP was the best OS ever. However, there were several improvements in Windows 7 and it was made useable by installing Classic Shell (using Windows 7 at work is annoying because I can't install Classic Shell).

I just installed W10 because my computer runs faster with it. Disabled all that stuff like Cortana and unchecked everything in the privacy settings, because no.

I am still running Windows 8.1 and I have no plans on changing that in near future (since I want to upgrade my computer soon, would mean I have to buy a copy of Windows 10 later).

Windows 8.1 runs fine for me, so I do not risk anything.

I'm currently running Windows 8.1, but I plan on upgrading soon. Going by the reviews it seems nice, but I'll wait until a few friends try it out so I can know of the first hand experience.

Windows 10 is free...? It'll cost around $120 a year from the launch date but for now, if you're running on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, It's free.
