Every time I create a server I automatically join dire as soon as I connect to the server. Why is this happening? Usually I would type 'jointeam good/bad' correct? My friends who connect to the server are placed alternately in radiant/dire as well. They are unable to choose what team they would like to join. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? Thanks.

Also, what exactly is in the server.cfg? Mine just contains the server name. Is there anything that needs to be added to it? My server runs perfectly otherwise. Thanks again.

I think that I have all of the requisite sdk changes reversed now, but as noted in the forum announcement, our snapshot builds are down. When that part of the infrastructure is back up, I will push the changes.

Does anyone have issues starting the dedicated server based on the latest client data?

3 days ago I successfully hosted my own server for our LAN Party with my friends. Everything went flawlessly.
Today, the console showed that the server version was not up-to-date (486 vs 48 and I accidentally deleted my server folder. So I had no other choices than copying the recently updated game data. I've done the same thing as I did previously, in details:

- Extracted MM:Source hg830
- Extracted D2Fixups.
- Added GameBin....
- Alien Swarm's srcds.exe
- server.cfg

I started the server and the console flashed for about 1s and disappeared with some errors in it, like this:

#console initialized
#ConVarRef rr_debugresponses doesn`t point to an existing ConVar
#Could nod get IReplayDirector interfac from library server.dll#Game.dll loaded
for "Dota 2"
Seeded random number generator @ 1046225265 ( 0.215 )

Do the update thing make it incompatible with the metamod's files?
Any help would be appreciated.

Read a couple of posts above yours. MM:S and D2Fixups (as well as SM if you run it) will all need an update. Part of our build infrastructure is down right now.
