JGHG's Forummod adds a prepend to each user name as long as they don't already have the prepend. It sort of checks if it's already there or if it should add. Maybe this can be of use ?

Exact same as Janet spec's that is, and exact same prob. lemme know when u got it handled, its a very nice and origional plugin
