hey guys!
i'm really going crazy here as I cannot get a dod:s server up and running without
suffering from lags with only one or two players on it.
i've tried everything i can now.
Server specs:
AMD Opteron 1352, QuadCore 64 Bit, 4x 2.1 GHz
4 GB DDR2-667 RAM
2x 500 GB SATA-HDD
OS (default):
Debian 4.0 Etch 64bit
Kernel: 2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-amd64 @ 250hz
I already downloaded the latest kernel, compiled it with 1000hz and RealTime support
- no change, still lags
after that I found this tutorial:

and followed it step-by-step, still no change, there's lags even if i'm alone on the server.
i used Tick66, Tick100, tried different fps_max values from 300 to 1000 without success!
with Tick100 and fps_max 1000 the fps bounce from 1000 to around 300 back to 1000 etc.
I tried with SM 1.2.0, SM 1.1.2, without SM at all and I even tried different MM:S versions,
nothing would work.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing those lags?
CPU usually is at 10% when there's around 10players and the RAM is not even near to
be depleted!
