summarizing I host my website / SourceBans in goddady (linux), and the servers are on my local computer (8 Winsows 64).

in my modem (Sagemcom F @ st 2764 GV) already opened all the necessary ports tcp and udp, also did DMZ, where I disable firewall for testing. but always displays the following message.
(Local ip) not connect to server (192.168.25.2:27020) Could
(Internet ip) Could not connect to server (187.112.237.70:27020)
(DNS) Could not connect to server (supremeplaygame: 27020)
in sourcebans.cfg (plugin) if I set local ip, ip internet or DNS always above me in this Feedback.

I have done the test and shows me the following Feedback

[+] SourceBans "Error Connecting ()" Debug starting for server supremeplaygames.servegame.com: 27020

[+] Trying to establish themselves UDP connection
[+] UDP connection successfull!
[+] Trying to write to the socket
[+] Successfully requested server info. (That does not mean anything on an UDP stream.) Reading ...
[-] Error getting server info. Can not read from UDP stream. Port is possibly blocked.

[+] Trying to Establish TCP connection
[-] # 111 Error connecting: Connection refused

any solution? or tip?

thank you for your attention.

Hey, It sounds like you didn't open your TCP port You have to open both a port for server and one for the clients to connect to. For Example your IP is 192.168.25.2:27020 I'm assuming your just running one server so you would need to open 27005. I would recommend opening an range of ports just because srcds can be a pain with ports sometimes. Try opening 27015-27030 and 27005-27020.

Make sure your subdomain is pointing to your gameserver ip too not your webserver.

Hope this helps

Bug Report:
This is bug is with the current SB 1.4 so hopefully it can get resolved in v2.
When a player uses the "/" symbol in their name and is initially entered into the admin database. The sm_reloadadmins kicks back errors and until the "/" is removed, furthermore
while in server their tags and privilages only work for a minute or two then do not work until "/" is removed from the database name.

Feature Request:

It would be a great addition to be able to set ban length to "0". Basically using the database to leave a comment or a warning on a Steam ID32. As a root admin I can make a custom reason, for example "Warning" or "Comment", and admins can leave a documented warning or comment with a "0" ban time, and that would be searchable for future reference on that particular incident or non ban-able offense.

I just came across this and read pyroprotectme's request... It would be nice to have a "warn" command instead of kick and ban that would add a "Warned" entry to a players bans.

Then when opening the ban menu ingame, after selecting a player, or just having a menu to lookup players, it would be nice to see:
Name
Amount of warns
Amount of kicks
Amount of bans
Total banned time

This would help for managing players between admins in case there isnt a need to ban them, but one can see that a player would have been misbehaving a lot.

Issue with that, personally I prefer to warn players privately and merely utilize a forum to inform fellow admins.

And moreover, they can't really use 0 for warnings, as it's currently permaban.

hello

reviewing tutorials to try and solve my problem (Could not connect to server) showed me some doubts.
I own five servers that are hosted on my pc in port 27020,27030,27040,27050,27060,
and my SourceBans this hopedado on godaddy (linux) in one of the tutorials says that I have to open port 27015.
taking this into account, so I have to ask godaddy to open the doors 27020,27030,27040,27050,27060?

and if so why? once the servers are in my personal pc, and not on the godaddy vps!

or I misunderstood? port 27015 is for whom this with your server on a vps.

The server that SourceBans is running on needs to be able to communicate with the game servers on the ports that they are running on, so you need to ask your hosting provider to open 27020, 27030, 27040, 27050, and 27060.
