How can i update my csgo server/steam without deleting all my files

this is the error given upon trying to join the server
Connecting to public(81.19.208.51:27015) ...
Server is running an older version, client version 13612, server version 13611

1. Find steamcmd.exe and run it
2. Type login anonymous
3. Type force_install_dir <path>
4. Type app_update 740
5. Wait
6. Type quit
