When ever I try to update my hlds in the dos prompt i get "AuthenticationServerRSAPublicKey failed signature verifcation" and "Connection Reset, WinSock Error 10054 "Connection reset by peer"

neone know wut to do?

if you post 3 times a day in the same thread, you won't get help faster at all,
it just annoys people.

check your firewall, your router settings, the syntax you use with update tool and re-download the hlds package if you can't get it to work then.

ya my bad about the 3 posts but the server needs to be up tonight so im geting kinda...pissed lol cause i cant fix it

- i re-installed...nothing also wen i run my server it says it needs to be updated so i do it and get errrors. also wat does this mean b) Change to the directory where the HLDS Update Tool is installed. wut do u do for that?

click on "Start" -> "Run" and type command
now press enter and you are in the dos window.
now go to the folder of your hlds installation.
(normally C:\HLServer)

so it's:
cd\HLServer and press enter.

now type hldsupdatetool and press enter.
you get a list of oprions to use with it.

i.e.:

hldsupdatetool -command update -game cstrike -dir c:\HLServer -username yoursteamaccounthere -password yoursteamaccountpasswordhere

will update CounterStrike in the folder HLServer on drive C:
