Was wondering if there's a mod to throw the knife.
Like a knife throw to the head for an instant kill

I thought about making one once, but when players don't have a knife they float around with their arms out and legs straight. Valve didn't give them any animations for when they don't have a knife.

when knife is thrown replace the knife model with a knife model with 100% transparency then make it do 0 damage.

Only way I can think of having it so the model glitch doesn't work.

What if it was added as a new weapon ( like knife1, or knifethrow, whatever )

in the Q3 mod urbanterror you have a few (6 or 10 don't remember) knives which you can throw, there's a "throw mode" and a "slash mode", you select that using the altfire. when thrown the knives stick around in the map, then you have to pick them to be able to use them again. it's pretty good.

well origonally I made the zombies to get good at shooting people in the head and get the feel for the guns... and it worked.

I too am looking for a throwing knife plugin.

I am attempting to set up a CS:S server with more or less the same plugins as the CS:CZ server I have been running for some years.

The CS:CZ server has a throwing knife plugin that is ammo based. You start with x number of knives and can pick knives up from the dead.

The knife is thrown by binding a key to a command "throw_knife". When the player executes the command they are switched to their knife automatically and a knife is thrown. They retain (and cannot lose) their stabbing knife, the thrown knives are separate items.

Is there something out there for CS:S like this?

I am also looking for a stealth kit (that oils squaky doors and removes grates silently by "useing" them) and for a proximity mine plugin. Yes, I am aware that these are controvercial, but we have been useing them for some years now and the crowd we have likes them well enough. Any such plugins? I am not seeing them... : (
