Either using the MetaMod plugin's settings (if it exists) or edit the MetaMod plugin.

I wonder why you don't say which plugin you want to be silent. Maybe someone knows it and can directly solve your question?
Or is it an illegal plugin in this forum, and you don't want to tell its name?

I'm also using yapb, but it does not post anything into the center of the screen. These "Connecting bot..." messages are limited to the console.
However, I cannot say why yours is behaving different.
I suggest you to ask at bots-united, where you maybe got the module and ask them, as their creators are more likely active there, instead of here.
