If you share your game with me using Steam Family Sharing, I could possibly evade bans:

-> IsPlayingSharedGame (v0001)

-> Family sharing, get owner's SteamID


While the idea is fine enough, I would still say it is beyond the scope of a "VAC Status Checker", even the trade ban / community ban etc isn't "VAC" and would be beyond the scope of this plugin unless the name is being changed, e.g. to "Player Status Checker" or something. Just my two cents. ;-)

The main focus is still checking for VAC bans. The other detections, which are disabled by default, were added because it required little additional effort. I'd say adding sharing detection would be within the scope of this plugin only if the VAC bans of the owner's account don't appear on the account using the shared game. Does anyone know if that is the case?

If I need to add the bans from the owner I would probably only need to update the back-end, unless it should be an optional feature.

Thanks for finding that. So it might be useful on any games that don't have VAC, but I don't know of any Source multiplayer games that don't. If I do add Family Sharing detection, maybe I will change the name to reflect the expanded scope.

Awesome new update. Thanks for your work on that. Have 2 questions regarding the new version:

Is it necessary that in the new version all API requests go through your web server?

If so, can you maybe open the source of the script you're hosting on your web server? I would like to host it myself, if it is not too much hassle.
