First of all thank you for the addon.

Here's my issue. I've been browsing the web inside and out trying to find a solution for this but I can't get it to work.

I managed to link a workshop collection to my dedicated server. Now when people need to download a map they still get the missing map or missing file error.

I have no external plugins but the one you provided.

Any ideas?

I actually linked the mysql database and database and passwords proper. But still im getting this error.
This is what i entered in database.cfg

Nothing to do with this plugin. Might be a busy database or unable to contact it due to several reasons.

L 03/09/2017 - 02:00:46: Failed to auto generate config for multi1v1.smx, make sure the directory has write permission.
VAC secure mode is activated.
GC Connection established for server version 447, instance idx 1

i run the server on windows server 2016. I´ve checked the user rights and permissions and all are set and correct, so how can i fix this problem?

Does the directory exist? If not, try creating it for the plugin

i´ve figured out what the problem was, i simply copied the config files in the wrong folder

Don't forget to change folder permissions. If you running server under non-admin account, you need to change folder(s) permissions or add Everyone write permission, but only for cfg folder.
