Next time tell him straight forward that gif are bad quality so use jpg or png thats it. All u had to say.

a png image uses almost the same space of a bmp, a gif uses hardly any

and if you are using less than 256 colours then why waste your web space with a jpg than a gif which is a 4th of the size

Most people use free image hosts such as imageshack and whatnot. Although I do see the validity in your point bLiNd is an experienced photoshop user and makes lots of renders/sigs/anything... Hence his recommendation of png's. And he also uses imageshack. http://img101.**************/img101/1...nder9al9dz.png <--- So he doesn't really need to worry about such things, and I bet most of the people here don't have their own domain, so they don't need to worry about taking up webspace.
