Ok my idea for this plugin is, you have a cfg that goes with it and in the cfg you set the time you want the server to restart at. For example 3 a.m. would be a good time for a server to restart.
And one minute before the set time for restart it displays a center message that it is going to restart. like the warmup timer? Have it count down from a minute before . Then at the designated time the server just quits. and it can be restarted through either watchdog or sevrerchecker (which seems to be better).

Why restart a server when people are playing on it ?

Why not a plugin that auto restart the Server when everybody Exits the server ?

Just a Question !

if u are crashing from traffic over time, u have a memory leak in your mods somewhere... restating the server will not help... you would need to restart the host to free the lost memory back up... if you rent your game server you would need to ask your provider to do that... that having been said, i scripted my host to reboot every 24 hours for exactly that reason. If u can get access to the host, you just set a cron job (linux) or a task (windows) to reboot the host at the same time every day or 2 (preferably when traffic is at its lowest...) thenh set up launch scripts to start any servers running on the host (should run as services in windows for best results) at boot. this boot script is also a great oportunity to have your servers check for available game server updates (prior to loading the server processes, of course)... i run 6 -8 servers on a dedicated server 2003 box and am set up in this way... its nice... if valve pushes out an update to any of the games i am running, and i am not there, or fail to see it, my server will grab and apply the update during reboot in the wee hours of the morning when my server traffic is at it lowest...

hope any of my ramblings will be helpful to you... if any1 wants examples of my launch scripts to see how i accomplish this, just pm me...

im always glad to help out other admins, as i have recieved a ton of great help from these forums myself over the last couple years!!

To use ServerChecker you must have desktop access to the machine your server(s) run on.
