hey.. i used steamcmd n tried to update it... but when i update it...it closes...n when i try it with command prompt, it show errors...plz help me....

Try this :
Delete the Registry of valve in regedit

quit steam.
then
Run > regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software
Delete Valve , Restart pc.

I had the same problem, too but I downloaded SteamCMD from another link and it works fine (but it is not fake for sure!) and I installed latest HLDS Build 6027 using it.
Just open it and it will update itself automatically and install your server with it.
