hi,

i set up a csgo server 128 tick 32slots (awp_lego_2 only)
fresh installed no metamod sourcemod yet

i was testing with 32 bots on server and at round start sv and var goes way up in red (sv 15-20 var 2-3) but 4-5sec after its better but always fluctuating (sv 6-7 sometimes goes up over 10 and var 0.02-0.8 sometimes goes up to 2 and more)

cpu: i7-4790k 4ghz
my settings so far but i tried alot:
fps_max 0
sv_max_queries_sec 6
sv_maxrate "0"
sv_minrate "0"
sv_mincmdrate "128"
sv_minupdaterate "128"
sv_maxupdaterate "128"

command line: ./srcds_run -game csgo -console -usercon +game_type 0 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup mg_awp +map awp_lego_2 -tickrate 128 +ip xxx -port 27015 -maxplayers_override 32

what can i do?

disable HT? do taskset?
cpu should be strong enough or not?

Bots do use more CPU than regular players... However, I think 4ghz is a bit risky for 32 slots at 128tick. Is there any way you can test with people?

Round start always pings out a bit also.

Make sure all cores are at max frequency. Make sure power modes are not on power saving.

Dont disable HT and dont taskset.

Yes. Bots use heaps of CPU.

My dedicated machine has the same CPU.
Since I use Pterodactyl with CentOS for managing SRCDS (a control panel that runs the servers in separate docker containers with strict resource limits) I run at 0.001 - 0,010 var.

My CPU runs always at 4,2GHz tho, maybe because I also have latency-performance in Tuned as Maxximou5 mentioned.

You can give that a try maybe?

PS:
fps_max 0 is useless for server AFAIK, correct me if I am wrong.

Remember to use English on these forums, as per the rules. You can do both, if you wish, but always offer English even if it's from a translator.

As you should be able to use Tuned for Debian 8.

I'm running Pterodactyl as well, but instead using Debian.

As for fps_max, setting it to 0 just means that it can use unlimited instead of the 300 limit. Personally haven't done any tests on whether there is an impact loss leaving it as default.
