Hey guys i have a Problem with some self-created mp3 and wav files.
They are not played on the Server.. The Server/Plugin Settings are correct so i think the Audio files are wrong created, with the wrong Parameters. so are there any Settings (bit rate/sample rate/ and maybe Stereo or mono/ max size) to get it work with the best Quality?

I use these mp3 files for Loading Music II and there theyre working but if i try to get other mp3 files with he same Settings in my GunGame config theyre not working also tryed with wav files but nothing happens.

First of all: check sounds in game client, not via server plugin. Use this commands (for WAVs and MP3s):

spk "weapons/ak47-1" mp3 play "media/Half-Life01.mp3"

Check, that "mp3volume" != 0.

Parameters I think like these:
WAVs:

Mono, 22050Hz, 32-bit float.

MP3s:

Stereo, 44100Hz, 32-bit float

If it doesn't play in-game but plays normally outgame (like Windows Media Player), then the files are out of the engine's limit so the engine cann't read them.

For example, a MP3 file with 320 bit rate cann't be played in game because the engine doesn't support above 192 (I think) bit rate.

okay thank you guys,

my loadingsounds Mp3 files are set up with:

-Stereo
-Sample Rate 44,1 Khz
-Bit Rate 320 kbps
-Encoder FHG (Guess)

The Wave fiels now working with this Settings:

-Mono
-Saple Rate 22 Khz
-Sample Size 16 bit
-Bit Rate 352 kbps

Now theyre all working - so if another guy has this Probles here he can find the right Settings
