Removed all plugins, and tested the character select chat plugin over and over on the passing, everyone works fine including zoey with fakezoey also installed, however at the same exact spot everytime if I switch to francis the server doesnt crash but disconnects with the message Kicked by Console : CBaseEntity::InputKill(). Any Ideas??? This is with or without [L4D2] The Passing CSM Fix.zip...

I'm using Merudo's Character Chat Select fork...

You mean on the finale at the bridge? I'll test it out.

Ok I checked it out. It has nothing to do with my fix - the kick also occurs on other versions of survivor_chat_select.

As far as I can tell, the Kicked by Console : CBaseEntity::InputKill() happens if you fail that map by dying. That's because the game kicks all L4D1 survivors before restarting the map. So to prevent the crash you'd have to switch the survivor to a L4D2 right before the map end, then switch it back later.

Did you experience the kick at any other point? I tried switching survivors after the bridge part and I didn't get kicked

Ok I updated the DeathChaos25 fix to prevent the kick bug from occurring, now you should be good to go.

EDIT: Get the version 2 posts below instead of this, it also fixes the kick bug on c6m1.
EDIT2: This is outdated, get this instead.

No the first map right after you leave the car, go through the little park, and over towards the buildings on the left, first door looks like a store, open it, walk in and boom it kicks me, only with francis, tested everyone else with no problem in that spot...

Alright I updated the fix to prevent the kick bug on c6m1. It prevents the kick bug both from the survivors losing, and from Francis getting kicked in that building.

EDIT: This is outdated, get this instead.

If you want to be able to use the L4D1 survivors problem free on c6m1 and c6m3.

You could use these stripper files that fix the issues up mostly. The only issue you would have on the first map when playing as them, is teleporting to their positions on the bridge or anywhere but the starting location PROVIDED you failed the map. Though looking through the stripper dumps. I'm pretty sure can filter out their spawn locations and be free of that problem.

The negative about c6m3 will be that you obviously wont have the L4D1 survivors as cover on what is a pretty tough finale. Its your call.

I've made a new version of survivor_chat_select, this one has a cvar l4d_scs_botschange to automatically change new survivor bots to the least prevalent survivor on the team. That means if you set the number of survivors to 8 (with Superversus, etc), all 8 survivors will spawn at the start of the map.

New version, now SCS can save each player's character preference, and they will be restored when rejoining the server.

So, for example if you pick Bill, then leave the server, you'll be Bill again once you reconnect.
