In CSGO the chrome browser is detrimental. Things like videos and javascript errors tend to crash it forcing clients to restart the game.

This is not what the OP requested. The request is for the ability to play a YouTube video on a screen within the world. Players can shoot the screen playing the video. They can walk away from it. Presumably the volume of the video's audio would decrease as the player model moved away from it. Etc.

I've seen such a thing in Garry's Mod, where players could sit in a theater in the map, and YouTube videos were "projected" from the back of the theater onto the "screen." Players could use a command to add videos to the playlist. Etc.

You cant show a youtube video as states.

However you can make a video screen using a vmt.

zm_xmen_mansion is the example.

I think they use standard gif like vmt/vmf and sound generic.

You cant show the video via html. You would have to make the vmt.

and even then I'm pretty sure the vmt size limit would the effectiveness of displaying a video through animated materials I would think.

That would be the only thing I could see working, however even then knowing what pixel to display, and of course it wouldnt even be in 1080p due to the entity limit.
