Is that possible to get player's country using his Steam profile, not using geoip module?

It's possible but not sure if it's really reliable since the field is not required. It may not filled.

You could use HTTP 1.1 GET with sockets module to retrieve the player's SteamID page.
Then you could parse the contents to find the country.

Well you can use both, if socket doesn't find the coutry, you try in Geoip.
