I keep getting a 500 error when I try to search these forums.

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

It happens when you include the term "Server" and the option to search entire post. If you search for "Server" from just the post titles it returns a result. I'm guessing the search is taking to long and is triggering an error within PHP, and that error is being reported to the user as a 500 error.

Yes, you're hitting a timeout. The frontend server translates that into a 500 as it doesn't have any more information.

Is there going to be a fix for this?

It's unlikely, considering the million+ posts we have indexed. I suggest trying your luck with Google's site search if you're after generic terms.
