That's a problem for both HL1 and HL2. I need to shut down my computer on On/Off button.
I can't do ctrl+alt+delete, or the windows flag on my keyboard.

Anyone know how to solve this?

I haven't tryied non-steam games, but it happens with cs 1.6 and portal the first slice.

o0o reinstalled steam yet?

Maybe that can be an issue or just a new glitch steam offers to us

I've had the same problem. I had to move Steam to a different hard drive. After that I never had that problem again.

I don't think it's the same. My computer really can do nothing, than just shut it down on the button. It can destroy the computer a bit, if i keep going and just trying.

Same issued happened to my friend, He uninstalled steam and reinstalled and everything went fine.
