Mode #1 - Nobody can connect into slots.. if they try they get kicked.

Mode #0 - One reserved slot remains free at all times, if an admin joins it starts kicking people to free up yet another free slot (until reserved slots are used up)

reserved slots are pointless, not to mention they make auto-retry impossible. You can kick someone from your server remotely using rcon, or HLSW for that matter, and then connect if you really want to. But it makes it even more aggravating for regular users to get on, and they usually end up going somewhere else. Which is kinda bad. I sincerely hope reserved slots NEVER makes it in. Makes it tougher on everyone except the admins, and for absolutely no reason. I mean, all you gotta do is:

rcon_password <password>
rcon_address <ip-address>
rcon status
rcon kickid <id>
connect

Well, lots of people seem to want them and they are disabled by default.

because I don't think they realize that they are unneeded and that they make it impossible for anyone except admins to get on the server. If you run busy servers, and have tons of regulars, obviously people are going to need to rely on auto-retry to get on the server. If you have reserved slots this is no longer possible, because your 18 player server with 2 reserved slots now has a 16/18 maximum and this appears to auto-retry to show 2 empty slots and it will try to connect. But unfortunately the server doesn't have an available slot for you, so your game will take all that time to connect and load and then finally tell you that there aren't any slots for your lame ass, only for l337 admins. Now go away, loser. Which means they have to retry over and over and over manually, with each attempt requiring a complete connection and loading and all the time it takes to do so. Real good way to treat your players.

You DO NOT need reserved slots to be able to get onto your server and admin it. You can kick someone without even connecting to it, thereby allowing yourself to connect anytime you please without SERIOUSLY HURTING all the other players that use your servers by making it beyond aggravating to connect to your servers.

so if we have admin_slotmode set to 0 do we still need the commands below??

Ok, i have about 20 Admins on our Server.
Everyone should be able to connect at all Time.
Do i need to set admin_slots to 20 ?!?
Or is 1 enough? - 24/24 Players, admin connects, 1 player get kicked. So 23 Player and 1 Admin. Is the Slot then free for another admin ?


Edit: Just tested reserved Slot on my Server.
Couldnt connect. Seems not to work.
