I'm current on amxmodx and hlds. I'm running a hlds server downloaded from Steam.
I have the whole server, files in place and the server runs fine until I add the plugin.ini in the metamod pointing to the amxmodx_mm.dll (win32 addons/amxmodx/dlls/amxmodx_mm.dll)

When I add the plugin.ini and do meta list in hlds console, it list all the modules running ok. I do amx_plugins and it list all plugins running ok.

When I join, I get in the upper right corner: WARNING: Connection Problem and the only thing in my console is:
Build 4554 Server (0 CRC )
Server #1
Reason: Timed Out

I did connect and play on the server for about 45 secs and the only thing that changed was this:
Build 4554 Server (0 CRC )
Server #4
Reason: Timed Out


It runs fine without amxmodx. I've never had any problems with rental servers and this is my hlds server I'm trying to get running and the amxmodx is giving me problems.

Windows OS. If you ask me to turn off plugins, I'm running the base amx and cstrike. No 3rd party plugins.

And yes, I've tried to do some searches with no luck.

You need to give yourself admin before you can get it man...

You WRONGLY posted your question in this THREAD, Actually you have to create a separate thread in AMX section. Search the forum before you post.

Open up the USERS.INI file located in "\addons\amxmodx\configs" folder.

Add the new line with following info:

"AdminNick" "asdf1234" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "a"

AdminNick = Your CS Nick name(Case Sensitive)
asdf1234 = Password to access Admin Rights (Case Sensitive)
you replace these with your OWN nick & password.

Then Save & close the users.ini file & (re)Start your server.

Now open up your CS & go to console (NOT Server's Console) & type the following:

setinfo _pw "asdf1234"

asdf1234 is nothing but the same password which you saved in USERS.INI file.

Now connect to your server & you will become the ADMIN.

Now you can EnJoy ADMIN powers by kicking/banning Players..

EDIT: I was running the server without amxx and "I" had the connection warning at the same time "I" got an email.

I'm trying to re-configure my house network. I have 7 computers in my house, but not all run at the same time. I have 1 modem and 2 routers and I'm trying to add a third.

Does anyone know how a server would run behind a switch?

I think the switch might be the problem with "Too much" data flow at one time. Not sure, just a guess from what I'm seeing.
