If you use the command +strafe your mouse movements are used to strafe your character, I assume it is like this in all half life mods. Therefore if your are using +strafe you are unable to aim your mouse, because trying to aim simply moves your character. However, if your using an aimbot and you use +strafe the aimbot will still aim at a player. My idea would be a plugin that forces people to use +strafe and be unable to undo it. My only problem with that is that it wouldn't be very automatted. So admins would manual have to force the command on a client and watch them in spectator to see if their aim is jumping to player's heads. Its just an idea, but I think it would aid in catching hackers.

How about adjusting ? This doesn't make any sense...

I guess what I was trying to say is that if you have a key bound to +strafe and hold down the key moving your mouse doesnt move your crosshair. It just moves your character.

To automate it:
  • check if enemy is visible
  • check if it in view code
  • force strafe and save view angles
  • after some delay compare new and old view angles
  • if the difference is noticeable - aimbot detected
Though if player will use a keyboard to change his view, he will be detected as the aimbotter. Also he can unstrafe himself.

One litle prob bud the aimbot creators already know about this so what they most do now is do an activation of the aimbot when the hacker is shooting.

Also do i get this right you need a plugin that like locks the mouse movement when strafing is active??

Couldnt that be done by simply executing a command on the client?

I know you are looking for something that locks the cursor to see if there is still an action but I thought that the firing and movment were a tandum action so wouldnt this work?

amx_exec "Aimbotter" bind mouse1 "say IM STILL SHOOTING"

When bullets fly from the clients gun as they speak this wouldnt that be a dead giveaway?
