It already does new colors oddly enough. If you say sm_fakeitem "Vintage Golden Wrench" it shows up as purple (or yellow if no vintage trades have occurred within that map).

Vintage items should be dark blue. It's Unusual items that should show up as purple. I haven't tried fake giving a Vintage item, but Unusual items still show up as gold/yellow for me.
