dproto gives them SteamIDs.
Since they are Non-Steam players, aliases work on them.

I stand corrected.
It used to be that servers could not send "alias" command to players, but I guess they removed that protection.

There's still another flaw.
Players can type "alias NSC666x" and not get detected.
If you change the command for that, they can type "alias" in console and see what their aliases are changed to.

That's still not enough change for them.

What you could do is every time you set aliases, use a prefix followed by a random set of characters.
Then you can check the command in client_command() to see if player executed it.
Remember that the longer amount of random characters you insert, the harder it is to get around.
Also, you could use a random length each time as well, which gives even more possible combinations for randomly generated commands.

Please note that all of the above does not prevent it from being broken.
All it does is make it more difficult for the hackers/scripters to break it.

Since your plugin was made to work with Steam and Non-Steam, then you are promoting Non-Steam.

Otherwise you wouldn't need to know the player's protocol and you wouldn't be using aliases.
Why are you trying to get it on your side? Why would someone have a STEAMID if they are non-steam players? makes no sence. Plugin works.

Because dproto gives them fake SteamIDs.

Do you not see how those SteamIDs are so much longer than the current maximum?
Right now, SteamIDs are in the 30,000,000's.
The fake SteamID's are 2 more digits than that, thus obviously being fake.
