I am totally confused on the server.cfg thing.... I follow the steps and download the stuff.. But I do it wrong and it doesn't work. I know people have posted other stuff about not getting it but I was wondering if someone could give me step by step instructions because the instructions that were given confused me...

This is how we will proceed, first things first.

Do you have Metamod: Source installed?

1. Yes. You should go to where it says "Installing CSSDM".
2. No, or you dont know if Metamod: Source is installed. Go to where it says "Installing Metamod: Source" and follow those instructions.
3. You don't know, but want to find out if Metamod: Source is installed. In that case download HLSW from this link, choose the one closest to you, or one that works. Install the software, then key your server ip into the server list. Key your rcon password into the rcon window. click [Test] rcon password. now, click on the console Tab at the bottom of the HLSW screen. type in: meta version and look for data like this:

on the right side, you can see screenshot of my installation. That should help you prepare your directories. Remember, look at the right side of the screenshot.

Installing Metamod: Source:

1. visit the Metamod: Source website and download the version you need, linux or Win32.
2. Follow these instructions on installing Metamod: Source. They are well written and you should be able to step your way through it. Keep this in mind: If you have to modify a file, make a backup of it first, so that you will be able to restore to that original version if you need to.

Installing CSSDM:

1. Click on this CSSDM Download Link to download CSSDM.
2. Follow the instructions found here.

Hey can i add you to my Y!M list ? i have so problems with my csdm .... i install it corectly ...i start the sv (dedicated server) ...it works fine for 2 maybe 3 rounds not always the same number ..and then it doesn't work any more...this happens individualy to every guy...if i reconnect it works again...but again for 2 rounds...then i don't respawn any more and when i type guns in say it it says the menu is already enabled ...what should i do... =\
