Hey all!

So, we use the vote for team mode on our gg server, but there are a lot of maps that can become unbalanced. The other thing we run into is we use a donation mod plugin that rewards people who donate to the server with extra hp. The issue is that a lot of times, the donators end up on the same team and take over. Is there any way we could add a team balance checker that would randomly switch players to the weaker team based on wins or k:d or level difference or something. Just a fun thought, not really a necessity. Any takers?

Iirc there is a version of ptb that checks the teams every minute or so. It is somewhere in the thread as it is a custom modification.

http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=69399 is what I found, though it seems like it goes on difference in kills over all for a team? I would love for it to balance based on the gg level difference between teams. Thanks for the suggestion Mordekay. If anybody wants to take a stab at changing this to work specifically for GG it would be appreciated

That sounds more like it would need to be built into gungame for it to work correctly, seeing how it would need everyone's current level. It would need to know the current gun rotation, and if you're using the "3 kills before upgrade to next gun" stuff it would need to know that too.

Also, switching people's teams on a gungame map if friendly fire turns on at nade level would be hell.

auto-balance teams by kills and by number of players on each side is probably the quickest way to do it, as long as there's a huge alert on their screen telling them they've been switched. It's not ideal, especially if someone is knifing their way through a map, but it will work better than any gungame-specific implementation.
