Is this still active? If so, can anyone post a ready built extension for L4D2 and proper installation guide as I'm confused to where to put this. Thanks

This is no longer needed for any maintained Source game since whatever CS:GO did, regarding edict creation, has/had already been implemented into others. And yes, both L4D games are included in the list BUT I don't know about the unmaintained ancient ones that date back to 2007 and even before that.

Anyone can still use this plug-in (or the extension version) but expect other problems to arise like SM's GetEdictClassname to return an incorrect value at some point (i.e. "weapon_melee" instead of "upgrade_ammo_incendiary" from a deployed incendiary ammo box), and more often the longer the server is up. After all, there is the warning that this "fix" ignores:

The better alternative is to delete unnecessary entities from maps.
