Hello everybody!

I was just wondering if anybody knew how to fix basebans so it could accept the steam3 ids.

Use SourceMod 1.7 dev builds, pretty sure that basebans accepts the Steam3 UIDs.

You're right. That's a bug. It will be fixed in the near future.

This raises another problem, a problem that some might have no known before.
When banning the user by his name, his steamid3 gets put into the banned_user.cfg. A lot of people tried to !unban STEAMID2, when really you have to use SteamID3.
Just raising awareness.

Actually, neither of those work. The removeid command in the engine is busted right now. I believe that it's being fixed for the next TF2 update. At that time, we'll see if it supports just the steam3 format, or both like the banid command does.

Meanwhile, removeid will also accept the number of the ban from the output of listid. Not sure if this is a change or something it always supported.

Not that it's useful for scripting, but it's something that can be used manually (just as long as you remember to writeid afterwards).

Edit: As a stopgap measure, I mean... thought I put that in my post but forgot.

Yes, exactly. That's always been supported (and still works), but is not of much use to plugins.

I might make a plugin which replaces !unban or something until this is fixed. Is it worth it or is the update coming soon?
