Today it is backdoor in server, tomorrow it is backdoor to whole machine. Who is going to control that? Closed source code makes you not a developer but a god. I don't see why would anyone use this unsafe software.

I agree, i dont see any reasons in using it, even without taking in consideration the backdoor...
Probably the users who use it, are using it because they confused, they probably think it is amxmodx...
But i have a question tho, why is he wasting time on it, since there is amxmodx which is more developed and more popular?

And it also has a huge community, always providing plugins and support? not to mention many gaming communities that are doing the same

Someone mentioned that amoxmod is supporting even non steam, which is why people prefer to use it, well that's wrong, since amxmodx doesnt interfere with non steam... i mean it doesnt have any non steam protection or so as far as i know... since the developers aren't so nut jobs to do something like that... to interfere with people's choice or even worse with their privacy...

Well, I saw some servers using amx on GT. So I google and came to know it was back (I thought so far). Then checked those comparisons in his amx site which was pretty much useless. Then I was wondering why some are still using amx. Then I found this thread and the idiot's posts. Now am pretty sure why amx should never be used.
