Ok - I have this great pinging server...(Florida) and no one joins - I remember some sort of +region command for when you start up the server... and it helps the server show up better like if you set the region to a certain place, designated by a numerical code. -- the reason I ask this here is.. You people know ALOT more about how to get server popularity with good mods, and the other people know how to set up a server.. but that parts already done.

so basically - what can you do to get a server to show up better in peoples search lists? (Assuming the ping is already good)

I wont post the IP's here.. that'd be immoral - but if anyone wants them to see if they show up on the main search (This would be appricated so as to see if anyone CANT see the server whatsoever..) just PM me for them.

Final question - what is the latest version of ATAC - Ive seen it ALL over the place with ALL sorts of version numbers.. where can I get the latest one?

the fakefull should help like with 2 people... but usually u should be in there when u got fakes as well... cuz when they come in, there like... "WTF! It says they got people. Crap, its hacking me, AHHHH"

I will guarantee you this: If the 4th octet (4th set of numbers after the period) in your IP address is 1, 2, or 3, you will have a consistantly full server because of how the Steam server browser populates its list.

Do a little experiment. Turn off all filters on your Steam browser. Go to the Internet tab and tell it to refresh. Let it refresh about 10 seconds, which is usually enough time for it to load a few hundred servers. Look at the server details of all the servers starting at the top. Look at the 4th octet and they will all be VERY low.

I have recreated this on 2 separate dedicated Linux servers. And my servers have always been full.

I see what you mean, but how do you change your ip? Also what about ips like this 66.74.204.18, the fourth octlet is .18, and i can't find my server any where near the top.
