I wanted to make a boss, and since I can't do models as well as others, I opted to import some models from Gmod (with permission of course). But the model files can't seem to work. And I think there are some files missing, like .dx80.vtx and sw.vtx files. Can anybody help me?

Ok so I downloaded a model from the workshop and extracted the .gma file. There model files were:

player.mdl
player.dx90.vtx
player.phy
player.vvd

But I realized that there were some files missing from observing other bosses model files. And I assumed that because of those missing model files the model won't work (Its a giant error). Sorry for being so vague, I don't know how to explain myself here.

no.. GMOD isn't the same game as TF2.
that model was compiled for GMOD, not TF2
so in turn, you wont see the right file types that TF2 uses

you need to decompile the model with Crowbar (google Crowbar decompiler) and rig it yourself
