Hi there, I am trying to install Give Weapon on my Dedicated LAN server but I keep crashing when I join. I have Metamod and Sourcemod installed correctly but after I install Give Weapon and join, srcds.exe crashes immediately. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I figure it has something to do with Give Weapon, since everything else works fine.

That being said, I am also curious if I can install Sourcemod, give weapon, ect. on a basic offline tf2 game, instead of a dedicated server.

Try using a dev snapshot of SourceMod and a stable snapshot of Metamod: Source (if you aren't already), and make sure all extensions are up-to-date.

SM + listen servers is usually a horrible idea.

TF2Items GiveWeapon pulls item info from tf2items.givecustom.txt. It can't pull from tf2items.weapons.txt because I have no way to assign new custom weapon indices to those modifications made in tf2items.weapons.txt, nor would I be able to preserve-attributes nor pull classname, etc (though I could pull classname from GiveWeapon's internal trie). Well, I could arbitrarily assign custom indices, but then you wouldn't know what indices those were. <Other things involving issues with pulling straight from tf2items.weapons.txt>

AlecTR: wrong thread.

Everyone: Updated to 3.14. I didn't add the Robo-Sandvich into the internal trie because TF2ItemsInfo is doing such a good job of automatically adding all the new weapons. Go get it. (Read: I don't remember all the new weapons that were added and I sure as hell don't want to add all the new botkillers to the internal trie when TF2II does it quickly and accurately).
The update also fixes the "viewmodel" not working in the custom weapons config.

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I installed this plugin according to your instructions, but when I did it caused my server to stop responding. The only solution was to remove all the files. What could be the cause for this?

It is possible to use this plugin to force a player to use a specific weapon at all times, automatically? Like if I wanted all Scouts to have to use a Holy Mackerel. Also, would it be possible for the player, if they have a different version of the weapon (strange, festive, unusual, etc.), they would be allowed to use it instead of the regular forced weapon?

Phantom: I'm working on that as TF2Items WeaponReplace, though I cannot pull weapons from players' backpacks due to things not being updated and me having no idea how to fix them. I know it *is* possible to pull item data from a player's backpack, just that nothing on AM seems to do so at the moment.
