Server Assistance

Hello everyone,

Well I have tried and tried to achieve my goal, however, I can't seem to get it to work or find the right file. Well what I am trying to do is set-up an MOTD right as they come in.

When you join a server and you see the botton "OK" there is a HUGE box above it saying "Visit the offical counter-strike website". How can I edit that, I know many servers do that.?

Go to your server folder and edit the motd.txt

search for motd and you will find many ways of editing your motd. You can get it to say whatever you want, or add images to it.

Well when I edited it, it still says the same thing. Nothing really chnages.

You dont need to, it changes in real time.

and search for anything with motd in it also. sometimes the file is names sofmotd or something else.

You need to know html a lil bit to change things also. Post what you have done so far with it.

I'm pretty sure that I have to restart my server (or map) in order for the motd to display a change.
