"app_update 90 -beta beta" is only required if you want to install the Beta build.
"app_update 90" is for the Release build.

But yes, the method you used to install the server is identical to the one used to update the server

Sami, there is a problem usually happens for everyone:

6. Hit ok, and apply. Try running the SteamCMD again, if it still doesn't work. try lowering your "Internet Security level zone" to medium or lower. You can find that in the "Security" tab in "Internet Options".
SteamCmd startup errors
Just put it before starting autoupdate of SteamCMD.

Hello I have a problem. Anyone can help me? I follow a lot of tutorials but can't donwload right the f... files for STEAMCMD.

When i put app_update 90 validate still gives me this:

I tried, app_update 90 validate around 100 hundres in the same time, never get 100% in the 2nd way.
Im running Debian 12.04 LTS+ Precise pangolin.

Its all updated, and all installed. So whats the problem? The problem is when i saw the "directory called "cstrike" in theory where i "forced to install" from app_update 90 validate, i see that "folder called VALVE" still EMPTY, and when i run with the easy command ./hdls_run appear me some errors as: .wads not were encountered and that shit.

How can i Resolve? Because i tried app_update 90 validate again, 100 times and nothing the 2º way, stop at 50 or 90 and then give me its installed.. Shit STEAMCMD

That give me multiple times never reach 100 . Did around 100-200 times.. Nothing :/. And thats a shit for me because, is not downloading the files for "valve" and without it I can't start HLDS run cause a lot of .wads and other files are missing...

I saw it. Nothing related to it, only appears "there is a bug" in appid 90 and u have to "install multiple times" i did nothing work.

Its ubuntu 12.04 LTS + Precise Pangolin. x64 bit. Have 32ia libbs installed and other 32 libs, nothing is giving error, the only main problem is that 2nd way is not downloading the game files. Stop at 50-80/70 after verify with app_update 90

And don't work.
Ports and that things are opened.
Also, I tried with my another 2 Steam's account. and doing the same Nothing after going to 50-60-90 appears
