the title is odd ? no. I make it like this to be easy if someone was searching for it.

well. this is a little tutorial to show people, some good features in Google.
if someone know another good application, even if it's only related to Allied Modders then please post in this thread.

in many posts, I explained that I am using the iGoogle to browse the new threads of Allied Modders, and because of that, sometimes I post by error in the SourceMod section, or I try to help people in the spanish-speaking forum.

but what's the iGoogle ?

in this first picture, we can see a simple home page of google, and the red arrows show you how to activate it.

it will show you something like this second picture. it's in french, sorry.
we can see, that we can make a personalized homepage of google like the nice homemage of yahoo.

you just need to register, then you will have your own iGoogle homepage, that you can personalize it as you want.

in the third picture, you can see my own hompage.
how to make it like this one ? please take a few time to search how to do it better.

yes, it's nice. but where's the relation between Allied Modders and Google ? good question.

in this third picture, the arrow 1 shows the allied Modders gadget and the arrow 2 shows the allied Modders button.
now, we will see how to add these nice features. but firstly I want to notify that I can't remember where did I found it, I'll just give you the links and show you how to install it.

here you can find the Allied Modders Gadget, (this link is for the google.fr, I think that you can modify it to google.com or .de, etc. it's not important, because the gadget is in english)
http://www.google.fr/ig/adde?moduleurl=https://forums.alliedmods.net/external.php%3Ftype%3DRSS2&source=imag

after its installation, you will be able to access to the Allied Modders homepage or to browse the new threads, directly from you iGoogle.

now we need to install the Allied Modders button (very easy).

firstly, install the Google tool bar, please search in the web, it can be found everywhere.
after that, the easy way to install the button is this link:
http://toolbar.google.com/buttons/in...TDBF4AU2RT.xml

just press the button "save to google tool bar" like in this picture:

done ? now your Google's homepage will be better than ever

best regards.

yes I'm using IE7

I still use it because all my archives from this forum are in the .mht format.
many times, I think to use firefox, but all my problem is to save web pages in that format, cause it makes only one file per page, not like the .html format.

@ vaan123: be productive, and stop to quote/criticize people better than you

why to make good tutorials, if nobody won't test and tell us about it ?

this are a serious thread, not for advertising which browser is the best.
so please, try it, and give your opinion

I'll make other off topic tutorials, with very good advices, like how to protect your computer with the virtual PC.
