lol i know that CS 1.6 and CZero cant play on some vista version but was hoping that Source would??

of course it does .
but it all depends on your computer specs.

shitty computer = css lagg and really low fps

good computer = good performance and high fps

Well, yes, that's always the case, even in XP. Beware of a Vista related MOTD bug, me and my friend have had Source crash on Home Premium while trying to load the MOTD. I have no idea why, but I seemed to fix it by re-installing Windows

Every game that works on XP should work on Vista.

Vista just hogs up more CPU cycles and more RAM for its operation. With a good spec'ed computer you should be able to run CS 1.6 / Source on vista without any issues at all.
