Everyone claims it's not possible but with memory hacking, I bet it's completely possible. We just would somehow need to find all memory information relating to that banner and the stats banner to remove them/cover them but I don't think anyone wants to put that much effort into it :-)

I think the banners are rendered client side though, or at least that is what I remember reading somewheres sometime ago

Yes and no. That plugin USED to work for Steam mods but ever since the addition/degredation of VALVe/IGA Ads to CS, that plugin has been rendered useless unfortunately.
