Hi,

Is there any feasible way in TF2 to completely prevent that rounds are restarted each time a player connects an empty server (which causes all entities to get destroyed and original map ones to be recreated again)?

It's very important.

Thank you.

I always have Bots in the game so that doesn't happen to me.

Maybe try this in your server.cfg
PHP Code:
tf_allow_server_hibernation 0

I have not tested in TF2

Could this work in that game mod too ?
[CSGO] Stop restart match when empty

This is just wild guess.

Hibernation is only when a player fully disconnects, this refers to the "waiting for players" period which can also occur if a player hops onto spectator then onto a team.

We had considered this but I wanted to make sure there wasn't any other alternative

The issue arised the need for us to reload some props/entities from DB for a certain plugin, or stash additional unsaved entities created from it, re-creating SM entrefs data. But we finally ended doing a recovery subsystem in this sense.
