Hey so I'm on arch Linux and I'm attempting to use cross to compile to windows but every-time i try i get an error message stating i don't have a default version of rustc; how would i go about fixing this?

I've attempted to run rustup default stable. And i can normally compile my program with cargo run/ cargo build

[[email protected] webhook_sender]$ sudo cross build --release --target x86_64-pc-windows-gnu
0: `rustc --print target-list` failed with exit status: 1

error: rustup could not choose a version of rustc to run, because one wasn't specified explicitly, and no default is configured.
help: run 'rustup default stable' to download the latest stable release of Rust and set it as your default toolchain.

Backtrace omitted. Run with RUST_BACKTRACE=1 environment variable to display it.
Run with RUST_BACKTRACE=full to include source snippets.
