The wrong player count is really annoying. Downtown, itīs not just a "cosmetic" issue. People can NOT connect to the server and so they look for another one if they are confronted with a disabled join-game button in the group browser. There is a majority of players which uses the steamgroup browser, they havenīt even heard of console "connect" or "openserverbrowser" commands, not to mention HLSW, hlstats... So giving players EASY access to a server is IMHO very important. Cheers, Skorpion1976

I am working on 0.5 which will have those things (and I don't recall saying the steam group was a cosmetic issue, I was referring to sv_visiblemaxplayers). I have to go to work full time throughout the week and don't have time to work on the extension in the middle of the week anyway.

ok i got everything workin now and now i can get 6 vs 6 in the server. but after the map change the last 2 players get sent to spec how come....

Hm, I guess I misread something after reading the last 15 pages of this thread...o_O. L4DToolz is past tense for me...it kicks people after at least 1 campaign, server crashes, I really canīt use it anymore. I only used it because of the "correct" player count in the group browser. So I am looking forward to the new version from you.

My guess is that's the standard spec bug ? Go download l4d2 team/score manager http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=113188 it fixes the unscrambling problem

I'm guessing L4D1 servers should grab the 0.3.1 version? However, would grabbing the 0.4.6 instead be a problem? If L4D1 is not supported past 0.3.1, does that mean it doesn't get the additional enhancements that have been done since? Just curious...

2 Questions...

1. Will this allow (l4d_maxplayers) to join via Play Online or only 4/8 and any additional must use Manual or Server Browser?

2. If one does not allow match making lobby to increase players to 9 or more, are there any forces?

Elaborated...

If I host a 12 player versus game, assuming 6 Vs 6, and I host it for Steam Servers. Will Steam Lobby system, match making system connect these players to my server until it is full, or will Steam only send 8 MAX players into it thus leaving 4 slots open that must be filled with Server Browsers or Manually Invites?

If that is the case, then this is only useful for Garena. heh.
