You are not crazy, Counter Strike 1.6 is dead. Old school players like you and me would cream their pants over maps like cpl_mill, but this new gen wants an easy map which requires little skill to master.

Complexity of the maps and prostitution of servers is the reason for dust2 being so popular. Everyone is going for quantity of players, over quality of players.

I would just like to mention that, if you are an old school player who gets bored to the core playing dust2 map, then COF server is what you need. Not trying to advertise them, but mentioning them out of respect. They got 100+ maps and best thing is dust2 is banned from map cycle.

Sorry to disagree, but there is a hidden secret in that map, exactly in the long path of the "A bomb site". As a hardened terrorist, it was a risky and exposed area that I rarely took. but retards love it and made a small map called dust2x2 instead of dust2/2 :facepalm:.

Because the bombsites and team spawn areas. The way they are on map. Also, it's included in CS16 default maps pack.
