Hey all!
Metamod v1.17X works fine on my server, but as soon as I make a plugins.ini with the line "win32 addons\amxx\dlls\amxx_mm.dll" in my C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\e-mail\counter-strike\cstrike\addons\metamod folder, my server does not load up anymore (my listen server) and I get an error message.
Anybody able to tell me why? I have everything in place - I extracted the newest version of amxmodx to my cstrike folder, and as previously said, metamod is working fine.

well amxx works well with listenserver here... give us the error messages please... (also, run with "+log on" and "-dev" parameters (both without quotes))

When starting the server, I get the following error msg and then cz just shuts down...

Ugh, this was a steam error back-in-the-day. It was fixed in an update. What do you mean 1.17x? There is 1.17 and nothing more, unless you are running MetaModX. Try running regular MetaMod.

I tried that (well, I left the original plugins like welcomemsg and so on)...but I still get the same error.

I am not familiar with listenserver or whatever, but doesn't the addons folder go in the counter-strike/cstrike folder instead of just counter-strike?

Yea, that's correct and that's also where mine is ;)...thx for pointing it out, I had written it wrong.

I took a look at the amxx logs and this is what it said:

L 03/28/2004 - 11:31:09: AMX Mod X log file started (file "addons/amxx/logs/L0328000.log") (version "0.16")

L 03/28/2004 - 11:31:10: [AMXX] Please fix the problem then start the server again

But I haven't changed the modules.ini at ALL....I left it the way I got it in the zip, which is:

I deleted everything out of the modules.ini and then the server started up. So what's going on here, why wont the modules work?
