You can also check if the player's boss index != -1 i believe it gets set to -1 on death or round start.

FF2_GetRoundState is a native which subplugins and shit use, no need to trash it, just gut it and change it to translate/caste gamerules equivalent so it is more accurate.

Another problem with ff2 is round start fires multiple times sometimes. Instead i use round active :/

Yeah, kinda realized I did something wrong when I tested it and nothing worked . Will be using your suggestion.

Something that's always confused me is that FF2 doesn't use arena_round_start even when it would be appropriate to. arena_round_start fires once when players can start moving around, which is the perfect opportunity to double-check that the boss actually is the boss.

But yes, I think arena always fires teamplay_round_start twice. Or at least it seems to on my Linux Prop Hunt server.
