Don't just blame this plugin, make sure you check other plugins too, or conflicts, etc.

x6herbius: getting back to you on that whole music thing, it seems like the complications aren't worth the results of the system. There are so many places it could go wrong and crash everything.

For now, I'm going to ask mappers to add an info_target with the name "hale_no_music" into your maps if your map has music already. I'm not sure if that's the system I'm going to be using but it's good to have something in there already so we *can* use it for the plugin as soon as I put an update up, rather than needing all maps updated.

It's been crashing at least once a day now, and that's only because none of us catch it right away. That's the only error popping up in the logs as well.

A guide how to play VSH on koth maps:

It's very easy. No magic.
  • Download and install Stripper:Source
  • In addons/stripper/global_filters.cfg add:

	"classname" "tf_logic_arena"
	}
}
(It will change koth gamemode to arena)
  • In addons/sourcemod/configs/saxton_hale/saxton_hale_doors.cfg and in addons/sourcemod/configs/saxton_hale/saxton_hale_maps.cfg add

koth_
(It will open all doors and turn on vsh on all koth_ maps.)

That's all, now you can add any koth_ map you want on your server.

No, that still works. I thought I posted that already with 1.38, but I guess I forgot.
A reminder, if you want to play normal KOTH, you must use the per-map config files for Stripper:Source to pick which maps you want VSH and which maps you want KOTH (not global_filters.cfg). The above settings change ALL koth maps to arena/VSH.
You're also going to need to add "koth_" to the saxton_hale_maps.cfg file.

rowdy: you missed my post saying that the .zip file translations file was outdated. Grab the latest translations from the latest post with attachments from me you can find.

I'm going to be starting a new thread, so that Eggman can convert this thread to FF2 when he finishes it. That way mixups like this can't happen.

You could also just remove that whole check in the coding that shuts the plugin down if the map doesn't start with "vsh_".

I'd do it myself but the coding of this plugin is messy, and highly unorganized.

But I know a guy who has a copy of this plugin, he went through and organized the code by like, "functions", "timers", "events", etc. Then he removed all the custom voice clip coding, and any other apparently-unnecessary stuff.

From what I've seen of the code, it's pretty barebones, but very organized, and he's working on turning it into a generic "VS Boss" plugin that will allow players to choose the player models for all 4 bosses via CVAR, as well as creating their own custom weapons for each boss.

It looks promising.
