Hey a quick qeustion...

Are you guys using the standard metamod? I am curious because I beleive that metamod is my main issue with CS as of right now, on linux OS anyways. So I was wondering what you are going to do about this issue, if anything. I currently use the metamod patched that was released by Alfred at valve. It better but still very unstable.
You can get it from here: www.directsoundradio.net/stuff

Just wondering cuz some linux guys are having real issues with stability WITH ANY MOD. I heard about this new metamod+ : http://mmplus.wroaw.com/

God knows if it even started or whatever. But I just figured you guys already know this. Linux guys are sad nowadays because of this issue. I know I am!!!!

We will only be using the official metamod from www.metamod.org.
His is the most stable, and it works on every linux server I have ever used.
The compile options Will Day uses are nice and generic, and the only mod it really does not support is NS3, and someone has patched it.

Metamod should not be forked and that is a mistake. If a user has a problem with Metamod, they should post it on the Metamod mailing list or contact Will Day.

If it is decided that MetaMod is no longer being updated to compensate for a large number of new mods, who knows? You might see Metamod X....

Update:

I haven't verified this with the rest of the development team yet, but I will be compiling our own Metamod. It will be COMPLETELY BACKWARD COMPATIBLE, it will simply be patched against the newest HLSDK, which hasn't been done since November 23, 2003. We will also include the NS 3.0 patches. It will appear as "Metamod X" under the version so the difference is obvious, and I will be submitting the patches to Will Day so hopefully he will fix the issues.
