In case if anyone is interested in a fix for SV_ParseVoiceData for LINUX, I have patched the engines to do so:

48/1.1.2.6/Stdio 4617

Unfortunately it's only for intel CPUs on 64bits. Debugging ELF files under Windows is not that easy, so I had time to fix it only for 64bits CPUs

dproto protects against the old known exploits like born to be pig etc but it does not protect against this parsevoice one, it was just discovered yesterday, so stop saying it protects against it.

At the moment - dproto protects against hlds_fuck.
However, does not protect against hlds_vhack, but the answer is written on the second page of this thread

the problem is that this exploit has nothing to do with dproto
it will directly affect the hlds engine - so, at the end of the day, it's valve's fault and we haven't seen any appologiez yet
