Hello there,

I've noticed something weird with the server I moderate.
It happens almost daily, sometimes in the middle of a game and sometimes when no one in server.

When players are in game, all of them suddenly timeout. And can't reconnect.
The server appears to be offline, but it's not.
Another server is running on the same host, but nothing happens to it. Everyone can join it normally.
Also, both servers are working on the host, and appear under "Lan" tab from host's PC.

No crashing.
the server is running, but no one can connect to it.
It needs to be shutdown for few minutes and then started to run normally.
Otherwise, it wouldn't work.

What is console saying if players get timeout? Use -condebug on your startup line to create MASSIVE output. Be careful this file is not getting to big ^^

Another Thing: This is unrelated I think but it bugs me. Try to get curl.ext running. Some Plugins (updater? Reservedslots?) need it to work properly

Its could be dos attack or srcds query exploit. I faced same issue before.

It just says Player disconnected (Timedout)

I guess if it was a dos attack, it would affect the other server as well.
But not sure about the query exploit.

Is it running on a non-default port by some chance? (I'm just talking out of my ass here.)

I would say make it a purely vanilla server with nothing interacting with it and see if the issue appears again, just so you can determine if it's a mod or if it's the server's environment that is causing the problem.

It is possible that windows (?) might block the server port for no reason (though I never experienced this issue). See if your firewalls are properly configured.

Hanging server's ports: 27015 / 27020
Other server's ports: 27016 / 27021

Both got Metamod/Sourcemod, so I'm assuming either it's an extension or a plugin.
But Imma look into it later.

I read somewhere that having servers on 27015 and then on 27016 is bad (why? I do not know)

Give it a shot and change the Port of the nor running to 27005 or something (more than one differnece)

Did you try to disable MMS and SM? If the "error" still consisting?

Rather than forcing specific ports on the server, how about you just boot the server in some order and let it automatically pick the ports needed? (first server launched takes 27015, second one takes 27016)

This method always works for me.
